Heritage Abbotsford Society wins award for Turner House Restoration

The Heritage Abbotsford Society was one of ten organizations to receive a 2023 Governor’s Award for participating in The Next Great Save competition. The competition is run by the National Trust for Canada, an independent national charity that seeks to raise awareness for the restoration and preservation of heritage buildings and places.

Turner House was built in the 1870s and is the oldest surviving settler building in Abbotsford. It is currently protected with a temporary roof and wrap until its restoration can take place. Old Clayburn Design is contributing to its restoration by providing design and drafting services.
